McGowen Serves as Chief of Medicine Department
June 2009 Dr.
Philip H. McGowen is currently Chief of Medicine at Annie Penn
Hospital, part of Moses Cone Health System. Fellow department
physicians chose him to help lead the medical staff members on issues
regarding patient care at the hospital. Dr.
McGowen joined the Annie Penn Hospital medical staff in 2004 when he
became a physician at Triad Medicine and Pediatric Associates, PLLC in
Reidsville. The practice currently cares for their pediatric
patients at Annie Penn Hospital when hospitalization is required.
Adult patients are admitted to Annie Penn's Hospitalist medical service
for ongoing hospital care.

Completes Chief of Staff Year as
Annie Penn Section Chief of the Moses Cone Health System
 Dr.
Steven J. Halm has completed his service as Chief of Staff at Annie Penn
Hospital in Reidsville, NC. Dr. Halm was selected by his fellow
physicians to lead their medical staff and represented the doctors of
Annie Penn Hospital of the Moses Cone Health. Dr. Halm has
served as a medical staff leader in 1998-2000, having been the Chief of
Medicine at Annie Penn Hospital. He has also just completed a 2-year
tenure as a member of the Moses Cones Health System Medical Executive
Committee.
